Welcome to the Stingaree! This year, 2011, we are celebrating 25 years of Fabulous Free Sunsets and serving our "World Famous" Stingaritas overlooking East Galveston Bay.

Back in 1986 Jim and George Vratis decided to open a little cafe located at the corner of Intracoastal Waterway and East Galveston Bay in Crystal Beach, Texas. Little did they know that over 20 years later that little cafe, the Stingaree, would grow into a community staple and a Bolivar Peninsula landmark. Jim and son Brad are now at the helm, staying true to the little cafes roots. You can still find the Vratis boys seating guests and bussing tables most nights. We are also still serving the same dishes that have kept us growing and going for over 2 decades.

Boscos BBQ crabs are a must and our seafood gumbo is to die for!

Anchoring the menu are super-sized portions of fried shrimp and oysters caught locally in the Gulf of Mexico and Galveston Bay. You can also find red snapper, flounder in season, and crabs cooked in almost every way imaginable! We also serve one of the finest Rib eye steaks on the Gulf Coast and a Lump Crab topped Filet thatll knock your flip-flops off!

The Stingaree offers a full service bar anchored by the Stingarita but also serving wine, an extensive line of domestic and import beers or the rum and Coke of your choice.
